DID YOU KNOW…

Chocolate ice cream is a speciality of Italy, and there are two main types of the chocolate/hazelnut variety. Bacio, which is based on the little chocolate and hazelnut kisses called Baci, is chunkier with chopped hazelnuts. Gianduja gelato, a Piedmontese speciality, is a smoother blend of roasted hazelnuts and milk chocolate.

Our chocolate hazelnut ice cream, which we call rocher, is more like gianduja gelato with a scattering of hazelnut nibs for good measure. Smooth, yet dense, and just a little bit sticky, our rocher ice cream is the ideal choice for chocolate lovers that aren’t too sure about chocolate ice cream. The nuttiness rounds out the chocolate perfectly, smoothing out the edges with lovely nutty depth.
